Most clients enjoy smoother upper backs for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth and lifestyle. Regular sugaring slows regrowth over time; scheduling maintenance every four to six weeks keeps the area consistently smooth and manageable.

Discomfort is typically brief and tolerable; sugaring pulls hair with natural direction which reduces breakage. We use technique, temperature control, and calming pre/post care to minimize pain. Communicate sensitivity and we’ll adjust pressure and timing for comfort.

Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid heavy lotions or recent sun exposure. Hair should be about quarter to half an inch for best removal. Discuss medications, skin conditions, or recent treatments with your technician before service.

The standard upper back sugaring session typically takes 20 to 35 minutes, depending on hair density and any consultation. Allow extra time for aftercare and dressing. We recommend arriving five minutes early to complete any intake forms.

Avoid shaving between appointments; it shortens results and can cause uneven regrowth. If trimming is necessary, use scissors or a body trimmer to keep length. Inform your technician if you’ve shaved so they can adjust the service accordingly.

Not recommended for active sunburns, open wounds, severe acne, or recent chemical peels. Inform us about blood thinners, diabetes, or skin conditions. We’ll advise if a patch test or medical clearance is required before scheduling sugaring.
